The ALICIA project was presented on 22/11/24 at the 6th International Conference on Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing (ISM) held in Prague. The presentation focused on ALICIA’s human-centric approach to circularity in production equipment, particularly the challenges associated with identifying required skills for working with second-hand machinery and the development of a dedicated training kit to support upskilling.
During a session chaired by Vittorio Solina, the ALICIA team engaged in productive exchanges with other EU-funded initiatives, including openZDM, MINE.IO, R3PACK – Reduce, Reuse, Rethink PACKaging, and Pav-Analytics. The session highlighted shared challenges and opportunities across projects working toward sustainable and intelligent manufacturing systems.
The consortium thanks the ISM conference organizers for the opportunity to share ALICIA’s vision and collaborate with fellow projects. Participation in such events strengthens ALICIA’s engagement with the broader European research and innovation community.
