From February 14th to 16th, we officially kicked–off the project ALICIA – Assembly Lines in Circulation funded by the European Union together with all eleven partners from industry and research. The project aims to create and demonstrate a Circular Manufacturing Ecosystem (CME) for Production Lines facilitated by numerous digital tools. The ALICIA CME is defined as a novel manufacturing philosophy, not only focusing on increasing productivity but taking a comprehensive view on the entire production value chain, including sustainability, human aspects, and resilience.
